Well for our ranking we have to design a book cover for a novel or short story of our choice. The book I have chosen is A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick. I chose this book because of its strong mood and feel portrayed through the book. Its pretty dam depressing full of paranoia and just all round negativity mixed in with a futuristic drug taking and oh strong authority that rules with an iron fist.

I tried out some fonts as well. Like I said I picked the book because its strong mood and feel so obviously the type was very important in capturing this. Here’s some I tried out.
I decided to pick fonts that worked well and explore them a bit further in Photoshop.
